Woe be Unto Me Hussain why do you have no kafan, woe be unto me
Why do you lay alone why is there is no head on your body
Why do you have a finger missing why do you have no shirt
Why is your body covered with blood ,sand and dirt

You are the jewel of the skies Hussien, Shabab Al Jannah
For me Hussain you have resurrected Makkah
Its cause of you Hussain that abu shahbaaz still prays his salaa’t
I swear Hussain I will never forget Kerbala

Woe be Unto Me Hussain why do you have no kafan, woe be unto me
Why do you lay alone why is there is no head on your body
Why do you have a finger missing why do you have no shirt
Why is your body covered with blood ,sand and dirt

I will clean your shrine if I come, on my hands and knees
I am that lover who fell in love with you,When you with his eyes he does not see
But in his heart Hussain Hussain Hussain forever will always be

Woe be Unto Me Hussain why do you have no kafan, woe be unto me
Why do you lay alone why is there is no head on your body
Why do you have a finger missing why do you have no shirt
Why is your body covered with blood ,sand and dirt

I am that lover who died in Kerbala well before I was born
In my mothers womb to you Hussain My oath was sworn
For you Hussain In life and in death I will mourn
For you Hussain My heart from birth, apart, has been torn

Woe be Unto Me Hussain why do you have no kafan, woe be unto me
Why do you lay alone why is there is no head on your body
Why do you have a finger missing why do you have no shirt
Why is your body covered with blood ,sand and dirt

When Hussain Prepares to go and says his last farewell
When Zainabs eyes fill with tears and to Zuljanah’s feet Sakina fell

Oh Father You always put me to sleep and awoken me
don’t go Father you are the last one left in my family
I don’t water Father just bring my uncle Abbas back to me

When Hussain Prepares to go and says his last farewell
When Zainabs eyes fill with tears and to Zuljanah’s feet Sakina fell

Father the desert is filled with blood like water is in the sea
Father don’t go father, look father I am no more thirsty
Father I beg you don’t go father, don’t go with you I plea

When Hussain Prepares to go and says his last farewell
When Zainabs eyes fill with tears and to Zuljanah’s feet Sakina fell

Zainab sees her brother he is the youth of paradise
Zainab kisses her brother for the last time with tear filled eyes
And says
Oh my brother, on you may we be sacrificed

When Hussain Prepares to go and says his last farewell
When Zainabs eyes fill with tears and to Zuljanah’s feet Sakina fell

As he departs amongst the spears and knives
This is when tears of blood fell from the skies
These tears that fall are the ones that his mother Zehra cries

What more can Abu Shahbbaz
to you OH Shia tell
Thirsty is Abbas, he sits waiting
for Hussain next to Kawthers Well

(I myself find it hard to read this poem, it is when Imam Hussain(as) stood on the river banks with Hazrat Ali Asghar (as)

What is the fault of my baby son, slaughtered by an arrow .to you Asghar look what they have done
Of Water he has had none , his heart is thirsty ,oh enemies do not kill my baby son

His eyes meet mine in them for water hope does appear
Onto his cheek , to quench his thirst , all I have is a dry tear
This is my son , my baby son , my heart holds him so dear
His body is shaking, he trembles, as the armies scream and jeer

What is the fault of my son, slaughtered by an arrow ,to you what has my baby done
Water he has had none , his heart is thirsty ,oh enemies do not kill my baby son

While in my arms my child lies and he rests
He feels some comfort, while he hears my heart beat, in my chest
How can I tell him in his kafan he is dressed
My child in this world, is only, for six months a guest

What is the fault of my baby son, slaughtered by an arrow,to you Asghar look what they have done
Of Water he has had none , his heart is thirsty ,oh enemies do not kill my baby son

His arm flutter like a bird, as he is slaughtered my heart stops to beat
Voices from Heaven are Heard My Mother says Oh Asghar our baby so sweet
We did not think we would receive you in a blood filled sheet

What is the fault of my son, slaughtered by an arrow ,to you, what has my baby done
Water he has had none , his heart is thirsty ,oh enemies do not kill my baby son

Towards the tents I go with heavy steps in pain
I don’t know who was slaughtered Rubab,Asghar or Hussain
If this pleases you oh Allah then take him with his blood drained
But on Judgment day my question shall remain

What was the fault of my son, they slaughtered him with an arrow ,look to my baby what they have done
Of Water he had none , his heart was thirsty ,the enemies they slaughtered my baby son
